Kim Almeida, known as KiKi by plants and birds, is a bioregional herbalist from the South Shore of MA. Kim loves connecting people to plants, cultivating community, and making music and herbal health products. She is excited to share the many ways we may invite plants into our lives to deepen the understanding that we are part of nature.

Kim's training and experience includes the clinical herbalist program at CommonWealth Holistic Herbalism, a wide variety of specialty herbalism courses and programs, and decades as an organic farmer and herb grower. She is a teaching staff member at Heartstone Center for Earth Essentials. Kim also holds certifications in permaculture/ecological design, yoga and reiki.

As part of her holistic health arts practice, Kim sees herbal clients and teaches herbalism and permaculture. She grows and responsibly wildcrafts medicinal and edible plants for people as well as the pollinators, and she makes bioregional herbal products for health and wellness. She offers garden design consultations and can also explore what edible and medicinal plants may already be growing on your land and how to work with them.

Book a class or consult with Kim if you’d like to co-create your own natural wellness path. We are nature!

Offerings

Herbalista Sessions: Herbal consultation is an opportunity to talk about your health concerns in a relaxed and supportive environment. Because herbalism is a holistic health practice, we’re considering all aspects of your wellbeing: mind, body, emotions and spirit. Through this holistic lens we will assess your lifestyle habits, review your health patterns and routines (past and current), and explore ways to enhance your wellbeing by supporting your overall health and wellness. We’ll co-create a wellness plan including personalized herbal formulas and a writeup of recommendations including lifestyle modifications.

Together we will explore how herbs can be your allies on your path to better health and wholeness!

Initial consultation (1.5 hours) - $125, follow-up sessions - $50-75.

Herbalism Classes / Teaching: Kim teaches herbalism classes at Open Doors in Braintree MA and a variety of other locations. She can be booked to teach a course or classes on many aspects of herbalism ranging from individual health to seasonal health and remedies for your group including scout troops, garden clubs, farm programs, farmers markets, etc.

(Priced according to program).

Bioregional Apothecary:  Local herbal health and wellness products including herbal tea, tinctures, salves, and smoke blends. Custom formulas created upon request.

(Priced accordingly).

Garden Consultation and Design: Kim will walk your land with you to explore what medicinal plants and wild edibles may already be growing there and how to work with them. These species may be plants or trees and even what you may call “weeds” … weeds are often great sources of local medicine and food, and they have evolved and adapted to live abundantly right where they are! You’ll receive a writeup with photos for easier identification and some ideas, recipes and guidance for how to prepare the plants
we find. If there aren’t many edible or medicinal species on your land, together you can design and plant medicinal herb garden beds based on your own health needs and wishes. It’s fun to “grow your own,” and your local pollinators will thank you!

(Priced according to scale of land and time required).
