Mineral of the Season - Lithium Minerals - Winter
As the weather becomes colder, the days shorter, and our spirit’s a little heavier; I put together this collection of minerals to help with the long stretch of winter before us. Minerals with a high lithium content have been used to lift the spirits and open the heart for centuries. Many modern day pharmaceuticals still use lithium as a mood elevator.

The stones I have gathered for your consideration are: kunzite, blue chalcedony with lithium, lithium quartz, lepidolite, and gel lithium silica.

As our modern world turns to batteries as a means of energy, lithium is being mined at greater rates. These minerals are also being increasingly used as sources of lithium to be used in lithium-ion batteries. This means we can expect an increase in price and scarcity of mineral specimens, much like what we have seen with malachite and copper production.

All of these minerals are wonderful sources of joy and lightness, and I have included them for their specific characteristics. I will list them briefly for each mineral:
Kunzite- Opens the heart to the energies of love- self-love, interpersonal love, love for humanity, animals, plants…all that is. It is also a conduit for the vibration of Divine love. Boston or North of Braintree~ Take Route 3 South. Take the first Exit on Route 3 South (Braintree, Washing Street, Adams T-Station Exit). At the end of the exit, take a right onto Washing Street. OPEN DOORS is one block past the second set of lights (1/4 mile on the right), directly across from the Seven-Eleven.

South of Braintree~ Take Route 3 North. Take the first Braintree exit (Union Street). Go 1/2 way around the rotary and exit right onto Union Street and follow to the end. Take a right onto Washington Street. OPEN DOORS is about 1/2 mile on the left, 2 blocks past the second set of lights. OPEN DOORS is directly across from the Seven-Eleven.
